Unqualified Teaching Assistant Ystrad Mynach SEN School Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, as you will be working across different classes and age groups, providing tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: Provide in-class support to pupils, assisting with their learning activities and ensuring they can access the curriculum. Adapt and modify learning materials to meet individual student needs. Support students with their personal care needs, including toileting and feeding (where necessary). Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and safe learning environment. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials. Participate in school trips and other extracurricular activities. What We're Looking For: A genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to support students with their individual needs. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions. Experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but not essential. A good understanding of child development and learning principles.
