University Assistant Predoctoral

Your personal sphere of influence:Our research group at the Department of Sport and Movement Science focuses on skeletal muscle health across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on aging and metabolic disorders. We offer a PhD (PraeDoc) position in an intellectually stimulating research environment with excellent methodological infrastructure and a collaborative working atmosphere. The successful candidate will work on the role of body composition, with a specific focus on visceral adipose tissue and its relationship to various diseases. The project aims to identify novel biomarkers for metabolic disorders and develop personalized prevention strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of research protocols, collect and analyze data, and present results at national and international conferences. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to participate in teaching activities and contribute to the supervision of students. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in sport science, exercise physiology or a related field. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and have experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS).
