PATIENT MEDIATOR (H/F/X)

Indefinite-term contract – Full-time (38 hours/week)

Start date: As soon as possible

Your Mission

To take charge of mediation in case of disputes between patients/residents and the institution, to increase patient satisfaction and maintain/improve service quality.

In What Does the Job Consist?

• Receive complaints from patients and/or their families regarding the quality of services provided and serve as a mediator in conflicts between patients and the institution;
• Treat complaints by gathering all relevant information, taking into account the sensitivity of the situation, while maintaining neutrality and impartiality between the different parties to achieve an equitable solution;
• Ensure strict respect for professional secrecy when taking knowledge of complaints and/or confidential medical data related to patient care;
• Analyze, following a complaint, any institutional dysfunctions and transmit information to relevant services;
• Publish an annual report containing an overview of complaints and transmit it to internal authorities and external commissions;
• Stay up-to-date with changes in law and regulation (e.g., hospital law);
• Participate in projects or multidisciplinary working groups and contribute to patient expectations.

• Your background:
  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in social or legal orientation;
  • You are the holder of a general mediation certificate;
  • You have knowledge of patient rights law, hospital mediation law, and hospital law.
• Your skills:
  • You demonstrate discretion in the exercise of your function;
  • You have good analytical capacity;
  • You communicate easily both in writing and orally;
  • You have a sense of contact and good emotional management;
  • You are rigorous and capable of working both as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Knowledge of the hospital environment is an asset;
