The Institut Mines-Télécom federates French Grandes Écoles around major industrial, digital, energy, and ecological challenges. With its 8 public Grandes Écoles and 2 subsidiary schools, it is the leading public institute dedicated to engineers and managers. Together, we imagine and build a sustainable future, training the actors who will shape the transitions of tomorrow.

🎯 Job Description - What We Expect From You

As a DataSpaceLab Business Expert, you are at the heart of our development, research, and innovation missions, attached to the Directorate of Development and Business Relations (DVE). You will combine partnership development, innovation, and societal impact in service of major industrial and health challenges.

The Data Space Lab is the operational component of the Gaia-X French Hub, the leading European initiative for data spaces and digital sovereignty, supported by the Institut Mines-Télécom.

At Mines Saint-Étienne, it is supported by the School's research centers and their areas of excellence: health engineering (CIS), future industry and microelectronics, materials and processes, energy and environment.

The challenge: to develop business data spaces to serve these sectors, primarily health and future industry, in conjunction with the industrial and territorial ecosystem.

This recruitment aims to provide Mines Saint-Étienne with a business expert capable of structuring, within the territory and in conjunction with the national Gaia-X ecosystem, use cases and demonstrators of data spaces, by leveraging the School's areas of excellence, primarily health and future industry.

  • You will ensure the development and animation of the Data Space Lab in Saint-Étienne, by explaining Gaia-X and data spaces to companies (SMEs and ETIs), local authorities, and stakeholders in the region.

  • You will participate in the setup of regional, national, and European projects (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Bpifrance 'data spaces') with IMT teams and industrial and territorial partners.

  • You will contribute to the specification of use cases and the emergence of concrete demonstrators of business data spaces, in Mines Saint-Étienne's areas of excellence — health and well-being (CIS), future industry, energy and environment, transport and logistics, as well as structuring and animating a partner ecosystem (events, IMT scientific communities, Caisse des Dépôts).

  • You will report to the Development Director and work in close functional liaison with the two other sector development managers (IMT Atlantique and DG IMT) and the national coordinator of the Data Space Lab.

  • Your ability to work in a project-based approach and to facilitate dialogue between research, industry, and territorial actors will be essential for success.
