Underground General Manager

A great mining company in Middelburg, Mpumalanga is seeking the expertise of an Underground General Manager to join their team of professionals. Responsibilities Heading up of the underground mining division Extensive experience in contracting to blue chip clients Manage mining contracts profitably Lead and drive the Operations disciplines and teams to achieve organisational objectives in alignment to overall strategy and plans Design and develop the Operations’ structures to meet business requirements and ensure effective execution of operations Provide strategic guidance and support to the Operations team Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including clients, suppliers, and internal departments Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the Operations team Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products that meet customer expectations and organisational objectives. Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in an underground mining environment Strong understanding of mining operations and processes Excellent leadership and management skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools Certifications in relevant fields such as mining engineering or geology would be advantageous.
