Underground Communications Technician

Job Description Responsible for the installation, maintenance and optimisation of the underground radio communications, fibre optic cables, network system and WiFi devices to facilitate a reliable and effective communications network to support 24/7 mining operations. Design, repair, and Installation of communications equipment: wireless broadband technology, Cisco Systems, Leaky Feeder communications and Fiber Optics Install and maintain voice radio communications devices and ancillary equipment, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and amplifiers. Ensure the integrity and reliability of the communications network, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure. Develop and implement procedures for the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of the communications network, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards. Perform other duties as required.
