Role Overview: Work Location: Chennai/Hybrid We are seeking a Counselor who combines expertise in undergraduate admissions, profile building, and counseling with a passion for empowering students to achieve their academic and professional goals. Key Responsibilities: • Provide expert guidance and support to students and their families throughout the university admissions process. • Develop and implement individualized profile building and test prep strategies to help students stand out in a competitive admissions landscape. • Collaborate with students to identify and achieve their academic and professional goals. • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and requirements in undergraduate admissions, ensuring that students receive the most effective guidance and support. • Work closely with the Galvanize team to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the admissions process. • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in undergraduate admissions, profile building, and counseling. • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student interactions, progress, and outcomes. • Contribute to the development of Galvanize’s admissions and profile building strategies and best practices. • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture. • Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. • Travel to Galvanize events and conferences as required. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Galvanize leadership team. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Education, Counseling, or related field). • 2+ years of experience in undergraduate admissions, profile building, and counseling. • Strong understanding of the undergraduate admissions process and requirements. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. • Familiarity with Galvanize’s mission, values, and culture.
