Job Description

Objective of the position:

Responsible for performing guidance processes in academic initiatives and assigned students, guiding students along their academic trajectory. The Virtual Tutor will be a key member of the student success team, helping students to plan and achieve their academic objectives through providing individualized academic guidance, coordinating progress tracking, and contributing to institutional retention and graduation initiatives.

Main Functions:

• Academic guidance and management
  
  

Providing academic accompaniment to students by attending consultations, permanent feedback, evaluating learning activities, and continuous monitoring of academic progress, identifying risk situations and coordinating necessary interventions according to institutional protocols.

• Compliance with quality standards and academic protocols
  
  

Ensuring compliance with guidelines, goals, and objectives of the academic accompaniment system; applying control mechanisms (rubrics, evaluation, and report review) and collaborating with different institutional actors to promote success, retention, and timely graduation or students.

• Implementation of continuous improvement and educational innovation
  
  

Actively participating in evidence-based continuous improvement actions, identifying opportunities to optimize the guidance system, proposing educational innovations, and preparing periodic reports that contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and strengthening academic processes.

Qualifications

Academic Level: Bachelor's degree completed in Mathematics, Economics or Industrial Engineering.

Complementary Education: Master's degree in fields related to education, academic management, educational innovation desired.

Certifications: University teaching or active methodologies.

Additional Information

Schedule: Mondays to Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
