Truck driver

Duties & Responsibilities
• Operate company trucks safely for pickup and delivery runs
• Carry out daily pre-start vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
• Ensure freight is loaded/unloaded safely and secured correctly using restraints as required
• Follow schedules/routes and deliver to customers professionally
• Complete delivery paperwork (PODs, dockets) and maintain logbook/work-time records where required
• Comply with NZ road rules, transport requirements, fatigue management, and health & safety policies
• Communicate with dispatch/customers and support basic operational tasks when required
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs

Skills & Requirements
• NZ Class 4 Driver Licence, or an equivalent overseas heavy vehicle licence that can be recognised/converted in New Zealand
• 0–12 months relevant trucking experience (or strong willingness to learn)
• Safe driving mindset and good understanding of load security
• Physically fit for freight handling tasks if required
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
• Clean driving record preferred
• Able to pass pre-employment checks (e.g., drug/alcohol) if required
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand (or be eligible for an employer-supported pathway, if applicable)
