Your tasks:

Perform service, IBS, and installation work on rail vehicles

  • Permanent work at changing service and commissioning locations and possibly constant job changes between different projects.
  • Connect systems and devices to existing systems, perform IBS work, execute first operation, test functions, optimize, and adjust. Explain the system's functionality to customers. Perform acceptance tests, replace parts and modules, and make corrections based on key values. Ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage spare parts and materials, tools, and other aids according to the needs of different projects, check for correctness and completeness.
  • Maintain systems and devices and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Determine the technical condition of systems and devices and advise customers on preventive maintenance. Execute agreed-upon services under service contracts.
  • In case of warranty claims, clarify the causes, determine the scope of damage or repair, and forward for decision-making.
  • Discuss work flow, execution, etc. with other tradespeople on site. Record over- and under-performance.
  • Provide suggestions for improving service options (e.g., better user interfaces, longer maintenance intervals).

Perform fault diagnoses

  • Determine faults and specify them, analyze malfunctions. Suggest remedies and possibly execute them.

Create documentation

  • Prepare reports, protocols (e.g., measurement and error protocols), and update them. Adjust related documents such as system overviews, cable plans, revision plans.

Supervise employees

  • Instruct and train employees - possibly also from other departments - with less experience or qualifications.

Your profile:

  • Completed training in the electrical field
  • Knowledge of rail vehicle control systems is an advantage
  • Good PC skills, including MS Office
  • Linguistic skills in German, basic English knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of computer-controlled control and diagnostic systems on rail vehicles
  • Knowledge of rail vehicle propulsion technology
  • Teamwork, stress tolerance
  • Willingness to travel (100%)
