Job description

Responsibilities Intermediate Care Unit RNs (IMCU RNs) treat patients who are suffering from serious conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, electrolyte imbalances, renal failure, liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, sepsis, respiratory distress or multi-system organ failure. IMCU RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assess each patient’s needs individually and collect relevant data, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels, according to established nursing standards and protocols. Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
