Transport Planner (Wegtransport)

We are looking for an enthusiastic planning team member for our client in Rotterdam. You will receive a direct contract from the company and a salary of at least €3300,- gross per month.

As a transport planner within this client, you are daily responsible for planning 60 to 70 deep-loaders. In this role, you will work together with your colleagues and ensure an efficient planning of drivers. The plan you make at the beginning of the day will always deviate from ad-hoc requests. Therefore, it is important that you are solution-oriented to be able to offer a high service level to each customer. Additionally, you make plans for external suppliers and monitor driving and rest times. You share available transportation resources and handle other administrative tasks within transport planning. Together with the team, you ensure that the fleet is always efficiently on the move from A to B. This challenging job is not the same every day, as you will daily face ad-hoc changes in the plan. Each time it gives you a kick when you manage to get the plan around.

Your workplace

The client is a leading logistics company with seven locations throughout the Netherlands. They specialize in rental, leasing, and sales of internal transport and high-lift equipment. You will work in the planning team and work together with 8 colleagues.

Job requirements

• MBO 4 work and thinking level, obtained through education or work experience in the direction of planning and logistics;
• Experience with transport planning;
• Communicative skills and good command of Dutch and English languages;
• You are open to occasionally working evenings and Saturday mornings (with extra compensation).
