Transportplanner

What will you do?

As a transport planner, you are responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily transportation activities for the food distribution. In this role, you will lead a team of colleagues and be responsible for creating routes for drivers and riders. In various transportation and warehouse supporting systems, you will feel at home. You will ensure that our vehicles depart on time and that deliveries are timely and efficient. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Planning and directing transportation routes;
• Optimizing routes and vehicle utilization;
• Monitoring transportation performance and adjusting as needed;
• Watching over efficiency, costs, and quality;
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal departments.

You will be working for a leading logistics service provider in the Netherlands. As a family business, we belong to the top of the Dutch logistics sector. Our central hub in Hedel plays a crucial role in efficiently and sustainably delivering to our customers. From this location, around 40 vehicles depart daily to deliver throughout the country.
