This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role with one of New Zealand’s most respected logistics providers. They are expanding their operational leadership team and seeking experienced Operations Leads across two shifts.

About the Role
As an Operations Lead, you will take ownership of daily operational performance within Transport. You’ll lead your team on the floor, ensure workflows run smoothly, maintain high safety and compliance standards, and use dashboards and systems to drive continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, takes initiative, and knows how to motivate, train, and hold a team accountable.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee product flow to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfilment.
  • Remove operational bottlenecks and optimise workflows and resource use.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement.
  • Enforce all H&S, DG, PPE, and SOP requirements, including audits and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure safe operation and maintenance of MHE, with accurate documentation and daily reporting.
  • Communicate effectively across teams, partners, and management while supporting recruitment and ER needs.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading teams in a warehouse or transport environment
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end operations
  • Proven ability to drive performance, accountability, and process improvements
  • Experience in DG, food-grade, or regulated environments (advantage)
  • Competent with WMS/TMS systems, reporting, and documentation
  • Strong communicator with a people-first leadership style
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Forklift/MHE experience preferred

Why Apply?
  • Competitive salary: $90,000–$100,000
  • Join a highly respected logistics leader
  • Be part of a high-performing, supportive team
  • Real opportunities for progression and development
  • Exposure to a modern, technology-led supply chain environment
