Transport Planner – Experienced Location: Bothwell Salary: £Neg DOE Full-Time, Permanent We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Transport Planner to join their busy logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in planning and coordinating transport operations, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Role Plan and organise daily vehicle routes to ensure efficiency and compliance Maximise vehicle utilisation and manage driver schedules to ensure optimal use of resources. Coordinate with drivers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including drivers, depot managers, and other team members. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customer requirements are met. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the team is always working in the most effective way. The Ideal Candidate Will have a strong background in planning and coordinating transport operations, with experience in a similar role. Will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team. Will have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records and reports. Will be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required. Will have a full driving licence and be willing to work from home occasionally.
