Transformation Tooling Lead — Retail FMCG

Hybrid model, 2-3 days from the office at ul. Taśmowa in Warsaw Project We are looking for a Transformation Tooling Lead who will lead the area of tools supporting operational transformation in a large retail/FMCG organization. The client is transitioning from a wholesale to a retail model, operates on a scale of approx. 15,000 franchise stores, and is facing challenges with distributed systems, data, inconsistent processes, and strong legacy. We aim for an inverse approach to the classic one, i.e.: selecting proven tools and standard processes used by industry leaders, adapting the organization to the tool where it makes sense, minimizing customization, and achieving results quickly. Your role You will be responsible for evaluating available market solutions, recommending an implementation path, and conducting the implementation with an emphasis on rapid time-to-value. In complex areas such as procurement and negotiation tools, CRM, or Master Data, this role represents a distinct, full-fledged competence. Scope of responsibility Inventory and assessment of existing tools in the organization. Market analysis and recommendation of solutions with a buy > build and SaaS first approach. Defining tool requirements together with the Transformation Product Owner and the business. Leading the vendor selection process and implementation negotiations. Supervising the implementation, including integrations, data migration, and configuration. Adapting the organization to tool standards where justified. Minimizing customization and managing the scope of adjustments. Handing over the tool for operational use by business teams. Who we are looking for You have practical experience in implementing tools in retail, FMCG, logistics, or procurement. You are familiar with the SaaS solutions market for procurement, commercial, logistics, or CRM functions. You can quickly assess the fit/gap between a tool and business needs. You have experience with ERP system integrations, including SAP or similar. You prefer proven solutions over designing everything from scratch. You can work with tool vendors and monitor their deliverables.
