Tram Driver in Utrecht

You are at the front of the tram, Utrecht's city life passes by, and you set the rhythm of the day. As a tram driver at Transdev, you work in and around Utrecht, with a salary up to €3,934 per month.

What will you do?

Have you ever thought about working as a tram driver? It's a special profession where you combine driving, responsibility, and contact with people. You enjoy being on the road, like structure, and are aware of what's happening around you.

At Transdev, you will receive our trust and the right guidance to learn the profession. In 6 weeks, we will guide you through theory and practice. Afterward, you will go out with a mentor, so you are well-prepared and confidently drive your own route. You will transport passengers safely, smoothly, and friendly from A to B. You remain sharp and calm in busy traffic.

What do we offer you?

As a tram driver at Transdev, you work independently, but you are never alone. Together with over 8,000 colleagues, you work daily on mobility. You drive in your own area and know your schedule a year in advance. Additionally, we offer:

• Our trust: a permanent contract after 1 year with good performance
• A salary between €2,876 and €3,934 per month
• Monthly irregularity allowance of €355 on average, for full-time employment
• 8% holiday pay and a year-end bonus of 1.15% and an annual gross payment of €400
• 23 to 29 vacation days, depending on your age
• 17 or 26 ATV days (compensatory leave days), depending on your age and years of service
• Pension according to Rail & OV
• An (electric) bicycle via Lease a Bike
• Travel expenses reimbursement according to the CAO OV (Collective Labour Agreement Public Transport)

What do you bring?

You have a B driver's license with at least one year of independent driving experience and live in the vicinity of Utrecht, within a maximum travel time of 30 minutes. You start your workday from Nieuwegein or De Uithof. You remain calm in traffic, are customer-friendly, and speak both Dutch and English. You don't mind irregular working hours and are also available to work on weekends and public holidays. As safety is paramount, you must be able to demonstrate that you are not colorblind and are willing to apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).

You have at least MBO-4 (vocational education, level 4) working and thinking level, acquired through a diploma, work experience, or a combination of both. Your height is between 1.63 meters and 1.96 meters. We are looking for people who are reliable, willing to learn, and get energy from contact with passengers.
