IT Traineeship Rotterdam

What will you do:

Your first professional step in IT

As a trainee at OGD, you will rapidly advance in the world of IT. Your strong affinity with technology and your HBO (higher professional education) thinking level will help you with this. We are not making you unrealistic promises – you won't start directly in a DevOps or Consultancy team. But we will prepare you in two years to make such a step.

The first year: growing in practice

In the first year of the traineeship, you will strengthen your technical knowledge, stakeholder management, and communication skills. You will learn the tricks of the trade directly and gain knowledge of tools like TOPdesk and ServiceNow. Furthermore, you will learn more about security and do a lot of troubleshooting.

You will also obtain valuable certifications, laying a solid foundation as an IT professional:

• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (AB-900)

Your first year begins with a month at the OGD Bootcamp. There, together with your fellow Bootcampers, we will prepare you to start at one of our clients on location at the service desk from your second month.

The second year: specializing and discovering

The service desk is the intermediate station on the way to your dream job. The idea is that you will quickly transition to your next challenge, unless you want to wait a while with that yourself. In the second year, you will take the first steps towards specialization.

Do you want to dive into the cloud, explore consultancy, do functional management, or perhaps take a step towards team management? You will discover what makes you happy and choose your own direction. We will help you grow there, with targeted coaching and training.

Making an impact with technology

Your work as an IT professional is very useful. Every day, you help leading organizations achieve their goals and make the work of many Dutch people easier. With your help, nurses have more time for patients, citizens gain access to the right data, and juicy oranges flow into the Port of Rotterdam. In short: you make people happy with technology.

Location

We often have projects in the Utrecht region and sometimes projects in Amsterdam, North Brabant, and South Holland. Therefore, we have a strong preference for candidates in the Utrecht region.

Are you interested in the traineeship, but live outside this area? Then apply anyway! Sometimes we also have projects outside this region. Based on your profile and place of residence, we will determine if there is a match for an interview at this time.

Requirements:

What do you bring?

• at least an HBO propaedeutic certificate;

• affinity with IT;

• good command of the Dutch language (minimum C1);

• experience with customer contact;

• residing in the mentioned region;

• willingness to travel 1 to 1.5 hours to and from projects (one way).

• €2,850 gross per month based on a 40-hour work week from your first day of work. Your salary will grow based on development and performance;

• a one-year contract with the intention to extend it indefinitely after one year;
