The Challenge

~Dutch speaking and writing proficiency is required~

With this Mastership, you will work at leading organizations and follow a Data Science & AI training at post-master level at the Eindhoven University of Technology (at our office in Utrecht). Within 3 years, you will be an expert in your field, including demonstrable work experience. With this program, you will develop yourself into a specialist in roles such as Data Scientist, AI Process Analyst, or Data & AI Consultant, and work on socially impactful themes.

We Offer

• Monthly salary of €3032.91 based on 38 hours including IKB. Additionally, your salary grows annually with your development.
• If you have an assignment of only 36 hours? Then you will still be paid for 38 hours. Do you have an assignment of 40 hours? Then you will receive 125% for those 2 extra hours. You will then be at a gross monthly salary of €3196.88 including the IKB.
• 12.33% IKB, of which 8.33% is holiday pay and 4% for additional leave, a sports subscription, a lease bike, or payout. Bonus: IKB counts towards your mortgage, so your dream home comes one step closer.
• A permanent contract.
• Development: Together with your Development Manager and our own experienced Principals, you will set personal learning goals. These goals will help you work focused on your professional and personal development.
• Post-master: You will follow a post-master program at the Eindhoven University of Technology. This program is specifically designed to deepen your knowledge and skills in Data Science & AI and to apply them directly in practice. The 50 half-days of lessons fall within your 38 hours.
• The opportunity to participate in the most fun activities such as our ski trip, the weekly bootcamp, or festival.

In a Mastership at House of Bèta, you will work on projects within financial services, for example at a.s.r. and Nationale Nederlanden, but also within the public sector, including the Dutch central government. You will be seconded for periods of 6 to 12 months on average, allowing you to gain a wide range of experiences and expand your network. Flexibility is essential here, as you will work in different locations and in diverse teams. At the same time, you will follow a 3-year post-master level education, right here at our office in Utrecht, from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

You will begin this Mastership with the best onboarding program in the Netherlands. After that, you will start with an operational assignment at one of our clients. In this first assignment, you will learn how complex organizations, processes, and data systems function, learn about stakeholder management, and develop organizational sensitivity. This information and insights are necessary to properly substantiate your future analyses. As a trainee, you will develop into, for example, a Data Scientist, AI Process Analyst, Data & AI Consultant, or Business Analyst during this Mastership. With your work, you will make an impact by helping banks, pension funds, insurers, or government agencies with important societal transitions. Consider, for example, the energy transition and the Future of Pensions Act.

During the Data & AI Mastership at House of Bèta, you will develop into a consultant who helps organizations work smarter, more efficiently, and more future-proof with data and AI. You will work on complex issues within the financial sector, government, and pension sector, among others, for organizations such as a.s.r., Nationale-Nederlanden, and the Dutch central government. Consider themes such as digitalization, AI-driven process improvement, data quality, compliance, and societal transitions like the Future of Pensions Act. Instead of just learning technology, you will primarily learn how to make a real impact within organizations with data and AI. You will therefore need strong knowledge of data analysis, data management tools, and databases to do your job well. Think, for example, of knowledge of Python, SQL, and Power BI.

Within your assignments, you will help organizations make better-informed decisions and implement smarter processes using data and AI. Consider, for example:

• analyzing data streams and business processes
• improving data quality
• developing dashboards and management information
• supporting with AI and automation issues
• translating business questions into concrete data solutions
• building analyses and predictive models

You will combine analytical thinking with stakeholder management and learn how technology truly adds value within organizations.

As a professional in this field, you must possess sufficient knowledge and skills to transform data into valuable insights and smart solutions. You will be helped with this by following the post-master Data Science & AI. With this, you will obtain your 'Certified Lead Data Scientist' at post-master level from EAISI Academy, Eindhoven University of Technology after three years. In the Data Science & AI Mastership, you will follow the learning path for professionals:

• Data & AI for Experts: For professionals who want to develop machine learning solutions and understand the business impact of Data Science.

Here you will not only learn the technical side of data and AI, but also how to responsibly apply AI solutions within organizations. You will develop skills in:

• machine learning
• AI in business processes
• data-driven decision-making
• change management
• ethics and governance within AI

During this program, you will combine theory and practice. You will be guided by experienced professionals and professors, and you will also have your own mentor from the Eindhoven University of Technology at your disposal. Through challenging projects – including a strategic project within your own organization – you will not only develop technical expertise but also the skills to make a real impact.

You

• You have a (completed) university education in a beta field: econometrics, computer science, physics, or a comparable study.
• 38 hours availability.
• Strong command of the Dutch language (C1).
• Willingness to travel within the Randstad area; we arrange transportation.
• Enthusiastic about working in secondment; you enjoy working on various assignments for different clients.
• 110% commitment to undertaking your post-master.
• Knowledge and experience with hard skills such as Python, SQL, and Power BI.
• Ambitious, proactive, social, and entrepreneurial; think of committee/board positions, (international) internships, informal care, part-time jobs.
