Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically utilize the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for all people.

We achieved a first major milestone on this path as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the most well-researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its effectiveness and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We work with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and psychological disorders. In short: we are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Your Mission with Us

Do you want to help shape and be responsible for the web presence and the entire technical infrastructure in one of Europe's fastest-growing healthcare companies? Then you're in the right place with us!

We are looking for a Trainee Web Development (m/f/d) with immediate effect for our 24-month trainee program. Become part of our experienced web team and get to know the technical infrastructure behind our e-commerce shops and online presences. Develop yourself professionally and personally with us, take on real responsibility, and contribute to making our vision of a healthier and longer life a reality for millions of people.

Your Tasks

Have you finished your studies and are you now eager to take your next steps within a company? Then you're in the right place with us! In our 24-month Frontend Development trainee program, you will quickly gain in-depth knowledge of all areas within the frontend development departments of a leading pharmaceutical company in e-commerce and online marketing. We want to develop ourselves professionally and personally with you!

Over the 24 months of the trainee program, you will go through two to three stations and can build up and expand your competencies with one of Germany's leading companies in pharmaceutical marketing.
The following areas can be part of your traineeship:

• Shopify Team: You will get to know the tool landscape and infrastructure of our e-commerce presences, which we have built around Shopify Plus as the leading system. You will learn in detail our approach to continuously developing our storefronts based on A/B tests. Together with our team, you will further develop our storefronts, start new projects, and ensure smooth internal processes and data flows.

• Web Development Team: You will learn the technical infrastructure of our online presences beyond Shopify. The focus here will be on A/B tests to improve user experience and conversion rates, as well as the technical support and optimization of performance marketing for various websites. Together with the team, you will ensure that our websites function flawlessly on all devices and browsers.

• Business Intelligence (BI) Online Marketing: Data is the basis for all decisions at Kijimea. We are convinced that success in online marketing and e-commerce can only be achieved by companies that consistently invest in data infrastructure and see data as a competitive advantage. In the BI team, we ensure the availability and consistency of online marketing and e-commerce data. At the same time, we support the specialist departments with concrete analyses in order to make data-based decisions.

Your Profile

• You have completed a degree in Computer Science, (Business) Computer Science, Business Administration, or a similar field of study.

• You want to learn everything about digital infrastructure, data analytics, tagging & tracking, and e-commerce.

• You already have knowledge in WordPress, HTML, CSS, JS, Shopify Liquid, or are interested in and capable of quickly acquiring them with the support of our team. Experience with digital performance marketing and email marketing are welcome but not required.

• You enjoy working independently, are solution-oriented, and have a healthy pragmatism. You have high standards for the quality and results of your work.

• You enjoy learning new technologies and continuously developing yourself.

• You convince with your proactive approach and remain calm even with short-notice requests.

• You have fluent German (min. C1 level) and very good English skills (min. B2 level).
