Trainee - People Operations & Payroll (m/f/d)

The Role - Your Passion

• You will support the People Operations Team throughout the entire employee lifecycle – from onboarding and contract changes to offboarding.

• You will be involved in the creation of employment contracts, certificates, and other HR documents.

• You will gain insights into preparatory payroll accounting and help compile and maintain payroll-relevant data – in close coordination with our payroll expert.

• You will assist with the administration of our German employee benefits (e.g., meal allowances, mobility).

• You will help to keep our HR systems and personnel data up-to-date and well-organized.

• You will work on diverse People Operations projects and, depending on your interests, gain insights into other HR areas such as Recruiting, L&D, Compensation & Benefits, or Employer Branding.

• You will contribute your own ideas, help shape processes, and learn about modern HR work in an international company.

What You Need to Surf With Us

• First practical experience in HR through internships, working student positions, or comparable activities is a plus, but not a must.

• Interest in People Operations, Payroll, and administrative HR processes.

• A structured, careful, and reliable way of working, and enjoyment in implementing things in an organized and correct manner.

• Numbers don't scare you, and you enjoy working precisely and conscientiously.

• Very good German skills and good English skills, both written and spoken.

• Motivation to learn new things, ask questions, and develop yourself in an international, dynamic environment.

• A positive, service-oriented attitude and the desire to find pragmatic solutions together as a team.

Your Salary

We ❤️ Transparency. The salary band for this position ranges from EUR 32,000 to EUR 34,000 gross annually. We are currently introducing salary bands in our job descriptions to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Once we get to know each other better during the application process and can assess your skills and experience more precisely, we will find out together which level within the salary band best suits you. Your salary will be reviewed at least once a year in an annual feedback discussion.
