Trainee Operations & Process Excellence Energiewirtschaft (m/w/d) - SETrade

We are connecting PV systems, energy storage systems, charging infrastructure and power trading to intelligent energy portfolios and hybrid power plants. We ensure that energy is not only generated but also optimally marketed and economically utilized. Supported by our platform, trading algorithms and algo-trading setups, we create maximum transparency, efficiency and new revenue models for our customers. Already today, we are managing over 350 MWp solar, 100 MWp wind, 100 MWh storage, 12 MW hydrogen and over 40 HPC charging stations.

Aufgaben

As Trainee Operations & Process Excellence you will learn about the central processes of a modern energy trading company and develop yourself into an expert for energy economics, operations and process optimization.

Many of our current processes were deliberately built as proof of concept or MVP to quickly grow and successfully establish new business models. Your task is to analyze these processes, document them and jointly with our team turn them into scalable and largely automated workflows.

You will work at the interface of energy economics, digitalization, data analysis, AI and process automation and actively help create the foundation for SEtrade's next growth chapter.

Your Responsibilities:

Operative Processes

• Processing customer, market and settlement processes
• Carrying out supplier changes, master data updates and market communication
• Tracking open transactions and ensuring defined service levels
• Communication with customers, network operators and market partners

You will understand the central energy market processes, manage operational workflows independently, recognize optimization potential and be ready for the next career step as a specialist or process excellence manager.

Your Profile:

• You have ideally completed a degree in economics, energy economics, computer science, business administration or a comparable field, or you bring strong analytical or commercial training with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• You bring best-case first experience or interest in energy economics, market communication, energy trading, settlement, operations, digitalization or process management.
• You are tool-affine and possess very good Excel or BI skills; knowledge of SQL, Python or automation platforms for analysis, evaluation and small automation is an advantage.
• You have experience working with digital systems or are willing to quickly familiarize yourself with new platforms, workflows and processes and apply them securely.
• You are interested in AI, automation and digital business models and want to actively contribute to optimizing operational / manual processes efficiently and scalable.
