Traffic Management Operative - Night Shift

Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan We’re looking for a Traffic Management Operative (Night Shift) to join our Auckland team. This is a hands-on role supporting crews that deliver good work across the network, from road maintenance and renewals to construction, surfacing, drainage, utilities, and other civil works where safe, effective traffic management is critical. Mō te tūranga | About the role You’ll help keep our people, road users and worksites safe by assisting with setting up and managing traffic control measures, including directing traffic, operating temporary traffic signals, and ensuring all necessary safety precautions are in place. This will involve working closely with our crews to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include: • Setting up and managing traffic control measures for road maintenance and renewals, construction, surfacing, drainage, utilities, and other civil works. • Directing traffic and operating temporary traffic signals as required. • Ensuring all necessary safety precautions are in place to prevent accidents or injuries. • Working closely with our crews to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently. • Maintaining accurate records of traffic management activities and reporting any incidents or near misses. Mō te kaiako | What you’ll need to succeed You should have: • A strong understanding of traffic management principles and practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our crews and other stakeholders. • The ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move equipment as required. • A current New Zealand driver’s licence (manual transmission).
