Job description

Gypsy is looking for a Traffic Data Analyst to explore marketing traffic performance, player cohorts, and acquisition ROI. You’ll connect data, marketing, and finance — ensuring that traffic investments translate into measurable impact and sustainable business growth.

Requirements

What makes you a great match:
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on traffic or marketing performance;
  • Deep understanding of affiliate marketing, traffic attribution, and ROI metrics;
  • Proven experience in analyzing LTV, CAC, payback, and cohort retention curves;
  • Strong SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) skills for data exploration and cohort-based analysis;
  • Understanding of predictive modeling principles and experience collaborating with data science teams;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into clear business actions;
  • Curiosity, persistence, and strong attention to detail — you dig until the answer is found.
✨ Nice to have:
  • Experience in iGaming;
  • Familiarity with traffic structures (affiliate, media buying, SEO, PPC);
  • Experience integrating data from multiple tracking systems;
  • Knowledge of ETL / DWH concepts (Airflow, dbt, Trino, etc.);
  • Background in financial analytics or ROI forecasting.
Your daily adventures:
  • Analyze the performance of traffic sources and affiliates by cohort, geography, device, and channel to identify top- and underperforming sources;
  • Monitor payback periods, retention curves, and profitability by cohort to highlight scalable versus unprofitable traffic;
  • Work with the Finance Team to reconcile marketing spend with player value and revenue, contributing to monthly P&L reviews and forecasts;
  • Build and maintain frameworks for assessing traffic quality using engagement, deposit, and retention KPIs, while detecting anomalies or potential fraud;
  • Collaborate with Data Science on LTV and churn prediction models by defining input features and validating model outcomes;
  • Provide actionable recommendations on which traffic sources to scale or pause based on ROI and trend analysis;
  • Detect and investigate unusual traffic patterns, drops, or spikes, and propose corrective actions;
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize acquisition KPIs, traffic cost efficiency, and ROI trends;
  • Ensure consistent definitions and metrics across affiliate, finance, and product analytics teams;
  • Present findings and insights to management, transforming complex data into clear business decisions.
