Tow Truck Operator

Job Summary Garden City Towing is looking for a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Operator. The ideal candidate will respond to roadside incidents, tow disabled or illegally parked vehicles, and providing emergency roadside assistance like jump-starts or tire changes. This role requires excellent customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate towing equipment efficiently. Core duties and responsibilities Vehicle towing and recovery: Safely operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations. Roadside assistance: Provide assistance to stranded motorists, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery. Customer service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns and providing assistance as needed. Vehicle maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on tow trucks to ensure they are in good working condition. Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork, including incident reports and invoices. Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience operating tow trucks and related equipment. Ability to safely operate a tow truck and related equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in all weather conditions and at any time of day or night. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
