Head of Engineering Kompressortechnologie (m/w/d)

We are seeking an experienced leader for a globally operating industrial company with technological leadership in the field of high-precision process gas systems. The position is responsible for the strategic and operational development of the engineering department and shapes a sustainably positioned, future-relevant business field with direct reporting line to the management.

A technically skilled, open-minded person with clear leadership strength and the ambition to develop structures effectively is sought.

Tasks

Professional and disciplinary leadership of the construction team as well as overall responsibility for the mechanical development of complex compressor systems. Ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness.

Optimization of engineering processes and standards, as well as active support in challenging questions around rotating systems, waves, bearings, and dynamic load cases.

Steering the interfaces between development, procurement, and production, as well as sovereign representation of the department against customers and partners.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a constructive focus and several years of experience in compressor construction, turbine construction, or comparable rotating systems.

Fundamental knowledge of constructing complex assemblies, life cycle assessment, and dynamic load cases. Secure handling of 2D and 3D CAD systems as well as experience with PDM and ERP processes.

Leadership experience in the engineering environment, economic understanding, and the ability to establish performance-oriented structures.
