TM Safety & Project Manager - Deputy to the On Board Experience Director

Eurostar's On Board Experience (OBE) department is recruiting its Train Manager Safety & Project Manager – Deputy to the On Board Experience Director. You will contribute to deploying our customer experience strategy, both at stations and on board, and you will support the Train Management teams in the constant pursuit of excellence: passenger satisfaction, operational performance, and, above all, safety.

The role at a glance

The Train Manager Safety & Project Manager - OBE Director Deputy:

• Manages the staff of the OBE safety division and those in charge of Business communication (3 people)

• Drives the safety of TM personnel

• Manages projects on behalf of the OBE Directorate

• Ensures the proper functioning of TM tools and manages their evolution

• Manages the writing of the Business newsletter and the management of the Service documentation platform

• Replaces the OBE Director in case of absence

The role is based in Paris with frequent travel to Brussels and London.

This is a SNCF Class 8 position.

Your missions:

1. Manage the Safety & Business Communication team

• Translate the Operations Directorate's strategy into clear priorities
• Support and motivate your team members (recruitment, performance reviews, budget, bonuses, discipline, absenteeism)
• Address operational issues through continuous improvement

2. Drive the safety of Train Management teams

• Ensure the safety of customers, staff, and subcontractors (SGS of EIL and THIF)
• Manage safety action and control plans, risk management, and lessons learned
• Issue Train Manager safety accreditations and oversee the maintenance of their skills

3. Manage OBE department projects

• Lead projects from study to implementation: scope definition, planning, governance
• Monitor results and trigger corrective actions

4. Be the OBE tools and applications referent

• Represent OBE on Train Manager tools and ensure their proper functioning
• Facilitate regular reviews with IT and gather ground-level needs

5. Give a voice to the business

• Manage the Spark On Board newsletter and the Process + documentation platform
• Adapt communication formats for the field and monitor consultation metrics

6. Act as Deputy to the OBE Director

• Ensure service continuity and represent the OBE Directorate in their absence
• Participate in the department's strategy and the company's strategic projects
• Support the teams and maintain good social relations

Requirements

You have:

• Solid experience in railway production or air transport, ideally in service / train accompaniment roles

• Proven experience in team management, ideally in the railway sector or an environment with high safety stakes
• Solid knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and railway regulations
• Proficiency in project management, from scope definition to results monitoring
• Leadership, listening skills, and a hands-on approach
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, comfortable with diverse stakeholders (teams, management, IT, social partners)
• Fluent French and English required
