Thumbnail Designer (m/w/d)

We are a young, growing startup in film and video production. For our largest customer Omid Mouazzen, we produce weekly high-reach long-form YouTube videos in the automotive and lifestyle sectors.

Our goal is to become Germany's largest YouTube channel. To achieve this, we work with high publication frequencies and clear performance targets.

Thumbnails play a central role: they decide whether content is perceived and clicked. That's why we're looking for reinforcement in this area.

Tasks

• Designing click-stopping, emotional YouTube thumbnails for weekly long-form videos
• Translating the story, hook, and tension of a video into a single image
• Independent work from idea to final thumbnail
• Developing a consistent thumbnail style
• Closely coordinating with editorial, cutting, and production teams
• Photographing, preparing, and creating visual materials
• Using Photoshop and AI tools in the design process

Qualification

• (First) experience in the area of YouTube thumbnails or comparable content
• Very good sense for image impact, emotion, and attention
• Safe handling of Photoshop
• Understanding of image composition, contrasts, and typography
• Independent, reliable work style
