  • Develop seasonal collections, moodboards, color stories, and direction.

  • Create print separations, repeats, colorways, and technical specs for sampling.

  • Work directly with handloom weavers, artisans, and mills to translate concepts into production-ready fabrics.

  • Explore fabrics like cotton, linen, cotton-silk, zari blends, and other handloom-based materials.

  • Oversee sampling, ensure quality standards, and maintain design documentation.

  • Stay updated with trends in handloom, sustainable fashion, and contemporary ethnicwear.

Requirements
  • Degree in Textile Design from a premium institute (NID, NIFT preferred) with strong specialization in textiles.

  • 2–5 years of experience in textile or apparel design with a strong focus on sarees/ethnic wear.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools for textile and print design.

  • Strong understanding of weaving techniques, printing, dyeing, jacquard, zari work, and handloom processes.

  • Sharp sense of texture, detail, color harmony, and fabric behavior.

  • Ability to work closely with artisans, production teams, and internal design teams.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience working directly with handloom clusters, weaving communities, or craft-led projects.

  • Knowledge of sustainable textile practices and ethical sourcing.

  • Portfolio showcasing saree designs, textile innovation, or handloom-focused work.
