Test Laboratory Quality Manager (w/d/m)

We are seeking support in the Engineering department at the Salzgitter location.

The Test Laboratory Quality Manager is responsible for the entire quality management system within the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory of ALSTOM Transport Deutschland GmbH. The testing laboratory offers tests in various fields, including railway vehicles, such as strength, load testing, vehicle dynamics, electromagnetic compatibility, acoustics, and optics.

Tasks:

  • Quality management representative for the quality management system of the EN 17025 accredited testing laboratory
  • Maintenance and improvement of the quality management system
  • Participation in the maintenance and improvement of procedures, templates, and other documents
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure the quality of the tests performed
  • Accompanying the testing laboratory during external audits
  • Management of non-conformities
  • Preliminary preparation and leading participation in accreditation and surveillance audits by DAkkS
  • Support for the testing laboratory in conducting experiments (measurement setup and disassembly, accompanying experiments) Ideally in the fields of strength and vehicle dynamics

Profile:

  • Completed university education regardless of field
  • Experience in project development (ideally railway vehicles or components)
  • Experience working in DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratories or similar positions
  • Ideal candidate already qualified as QMF, QMB, and/or QMA
  • Fluent German and English skills in writing and speaking
  • Self-reliant and customer-oriented work style
  • Engagement, high self-initiative, team, and organizational skills, as well as willingness to travel
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
