Test Engineer - QA Consultant (m/w/d)

Aufgaben

As Test Engineer / Consultant, you will be deployed in external customer projects and combine professional test expertise with a strong consulting mindset.
You will work hands-on in testing, analyze complex system landscapes, and appear at the customer's site sovereignly and solution-oriented.

Your tasks as Test Automation Engineer (w/m/d):

• Einsatz als Test Engineer / Consultant in externen Kundenprojekten

• Durchführung automatisierter und manueller Softwaretests auf unterschiedlichen Teststufen

• Erstellung, Pflege und Weiterentwicklung von Testfällen, Testszenarien und Testplänen

• Testen von Schnittstellen und Integrationen in komplexen Systemlandschaften

• Durchführung automatisierter API-Tests (z. B. REST, GraphQL, HTTP)

• Analyse von Fehlerbildern in verteilten Systemen

• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Kunden, Entwicklung, Testmanagement und angrenzenden Teams

• Aktive Kommunikation von Testergebnissen, Risiken und Handlungsempfehlungen gegenüber Kunden

Depending on the project, we use the following technologies: Selenium, Tosca, Ranorex, Confluence, JIRA, Postman, Silk Central Manager, HPALL, Java, JUnit, REST, Jenkins, Docker, Maven, AWS, Microservices, Cucumber, Gherkin.

Qualifikation

What You Already Bring:

Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Software-Testing (ca. 2–3 Jahre oder mehr)

• Erfahrung in manuellen und automatisierten Tests

• Praxis in der Erstellung von Testfällen, Testplänen und idealerweise Testkonzepten

• Erfahrung mit Testmanagement-Tools wie Xray, Zephyr, SAP Solution Manager oder vergleichbaren Tools

• Erfahrung mit Testautomatisierungs-Frameworks wie
  Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, Playwright or similar technologies

• Gute Kenntnisse im API-Testing (REST, GraphQL, HTTP)

• Grundverständnis verteilter Systeme

• Gute Kenntnisse in mindestens einer Programmiersprache (z. B. Java, Python or C#)

• Ausgeprägte kommunikative Fähigkeiten und sicheres Auftreten

• Consulting-Mindset: You can represent your work, test results and recommendations clearly and convincingly

• No fear of direct customer communication (coordinations, workshops, interviews with functional and IT contact partners)

• Teamfähigkeit, Eigeninitiative und proaktive Arbeitsweise

• Bereitschaft, bei Bedarf im Hamburger Office zu arbeiten

• Reisebereitschaft für externe Kundenprojekte

Nice-to-have:

• Erfahrung im Banking- oder Finanzumfeld

• Erfahrung in der fachlichen Unterstützung oder Einarbeitung von Teammitgliedern

• Erste Erfahrungen mit KI-gestützten Ansätzen oder automatisierten Workflows
  (z. B. n8n, Zapier or similar tools)

• ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level

• Interest in new technologies and continuous professional development
