Job description
Analyzing, (functional) testing, debugging… What don't you do as a test engineer with us!?
As a test engineer, every workday is different. The complex products we make for our customers use process and functional testers. Failures of these are analyzed and testers are debugged. This is done in collaboration with our Test Development team, who have developed, built, and released our testers. The majority of your workday is spent on practical and analytical tasks.
A selection of your tasks as a test engineer:
Testing prototypes: measuring in a separate test setup on your workbench.
Debugging/functional testing in Labview: for example, after failure on the functional tester.
Sustainable analyzing: finding out what happened, why it happened, and how we can prevent it in the future.
Repairing failed products; failures after AOI, Flying probe or functional testers, or returns from the customer.
Internal meetings: for example, with your colleagues from the Quality, Engineering departments, etc.
Technically challenging: not only colleagues at Benchmark but sometimes also the customer.
In everything you do, you ensure the correct analyses and their processing. This filters and flags deviations, establishes and resolves root causes, and ensures continuous improvement of the production process.
What does Benchmark offer?
Working at Benchmark means working in a dynamic environment. You will work in an independent team where your initiatives and ideas are highly appreciated. The team consists of 13 colleagues and is a close-knit group where everyone is willing to help each other.
Additionally, we offer:
An excellent starting salary between €3552,- and €5264,- gross per month based on a full-time workweek and depending on previous work experience.
Variable quarterly bonus up to a maximum of 5% of your quarterly salary.
Enjoy 40 days off per year (27 vacation days and 13 compensatory time off days).
Room for growth and development opportunities, for example, to grow into the role of sustaining test engineer.
Flexible working hours in daytime shifts, where you determine when your workday starts between 07:00 AM and 09:00 AM.
A comprehensive onboarding process, where you will be paired with a direct colleague who will be your buddy during your onboarding period.
What we are looking for in our future colleague?
Minimum HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, for example, a completed HBO degree in Electrical Engineering or a completed MBO4 (vocational education) degree in Electronics with several years of work experience.
You can read and interpret electrical schematics and are capable of independently performing test, troubleshooting, and debugging tasks.
Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
Knowledge of soldering quality (IPC standard) is a plus, but not a requirement and can also be learned;
