Terminal Planner

Are you an organizational talent with affinity for transport and logistics? Do you want to play a crucial role in the operation of our terminal in the Port of Antwerp? Then the Terminal Planner position might be the perfect challenge for you!

As Terminal Planner, you are responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating operations on our terminal. You ensure that goods flows smoothly and all operational processes are aligned.

• You plan the arrival and handling of trucks and containers;
• You coordinate the deployment of our staff and equipment;
• You continuously discuss with internal and external stakeholders;
• You optimize processes and look for improvements;
• You ensure the safety and quality of operations.
• In addition, your task package includes:

• In close contact with customers, transporters, Infrabel, and rail companies
• Controlling and setting up the load – and unload lists for incoming and outgoing trains
• Caring for a correct handover of shifts
• Watching over safety within and around the terminal
• Reporting to the operations manager

Requirements

• You have an A2 diploma in Logistics, Transport or a similar field;
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a planning function, preferably within the logistics or transport sector;
• You have a strong analytical ability and are result-oriented;
• Experience with planning software is a plus;
• You work accurately and have an eye for detail;
• You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English;
• You are proactive, stress-resistant, and able to prioritize tasks

• You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch, English. A word or two of French or German is a plus.
• You are quick with different software systems
• You are plan-oriented and can also make ad-hoc decisions.
• You are willing to work in a shift system from early morning (06u – 14u), late afternoon (14u – 22u), and night shifts (22u – 6u)
