Tender Engineer

Work environment

You will work as an Tender Engineer for our Estimating department, located at our headquarters in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert. Our activity is mainly located in Belgium, although we have projects all over the world.

Your function

• You participate as a MEP Tender Engineer in the study and coordination of all aspects related to the MEP installations.
• Throughout the study of a project, you will keep an overview of all issues relating to the MEP installations and liaise with the relevant people (internal or external).
• You analyze the contractual requirements for the MEP installations, as defined by the Client, and translate them into an appropriate action plan.

As a Tender Engineer, your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Cary out a detailed analysis of specifications, drawings, diagrams and other documents forming part of a tender dossier.
• Request and analyze price offers from suppliers and subcontractors in order to draw up an estimate based on the chosen method of execution and the equipment selected, Prepare comparative tables and participate in internal finalization meetings
• Establish the price internally based on the available database and offers received from the concerned suppliers
• Analyze the offers received from the concerned subcontractors
• Establish lists of possible value engineering and alternatives for the related trades
• Ensure coordination between the MEP trades and the other trades managed within the General Contractor’s scope of works
• Analyze and evaluate the various risks and opportunities of a project to determine the most effective method of execution.
• Ensure coordination between the MEP subcontractors and the Client/ MEP design office and other external stakeholders
• Participate in possible meetings with subcontractors and/or the Client/MEP design office
• Prepare the final tender documents for submission.
