Hawk Tech Pty Ltd is a growing telecommunications services provider delivering installation, maintenance, and upgrade solutions across network infrastructure projects. We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technical Officer to support our expanding operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform on-site technical work, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of systems or equipment in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to assess site conditions and technical requirements.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute tasks efficiently.
• Monitor project progress on-site to ensure work aligns with engineering plans and quality standards.
• Identify potential risks or issues and provide timely solutions or recommendations.
• Maintain and calibrate tools, instruments, and equipment required for field operations.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection documentation, and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Support project delivery timelines by coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage the logistics of equipment, personnel, and materials needed on-site.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure work clarity and project alignment.
• Train or guide junior technicians or assistants on proper procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant qualification in telecommunications, electronics, or networking, or work experience, may also be accepted in lieu of qualifications.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in telecommunications or network services
• Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Sound troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
