Will this be your new work environment?

Within a carpentry factory where craftsmanship, custom work, and a practical approach come together, you will work on diverse construction projects. From the workshop, wooden parts and structures are carefully prepared and produced, with a good technical elaboration forming the basis for a smooth production process. As a draftsman, you are the link between design and execution and ensure that ideas are translated into clear and manufacturable drawings.

You will find yourself in an environment where short lines of communication and direct contact with colleagues are important. You will work closely with work preparation, production, and other involved disciplines. Furthermore, there is room to contribute to technical solutions and improvements in drafting.

The projects require accuracy and insight into dimensions, materials, and constructions. At the same time, the work is practically organized: what you elaborate on paper will ultimately be made in the workshop. This makes your contribution visible in every phase of the process.

For this position, we are looking for someone who enjoys technical work and gets energy from elaborating wooden constructions and parts.

This is what you will do

You will elaborate drawings and technical specifications that are directly used within production. You will switch between technical details, practical manufacturability, and the wishes from the project. With your accurate way of working, you ensure that colleagues in the workshop can get started with clear information.

In short:

• You will elaborate technical drawings for wooden parts and constructions
• You will translate designs and technical information into clear production drawings
• You will check drawings for dimensions, detailing, and feasibility
• You will coordinate technical issues with work preparation and production
• You will process any changes and ensure that drawings remain up-to-date
• You will contribute to practical and technically feasible solutions
• You will provide support in further elaborating projects when necessary

This is who you are

• You have an MBO or HBO (Secondary or Higher Vocational Education) degree in Construction Technology, Wood Technology, or a comparable technical field
• You have an interest in technical drawing and the application of wood within construction
• You can read technical information well and translate it into a clear drawing
• You work accurately and have an eye for dimensions and detailing
• You are familiar with a relevant drawing program or are willing to develop yourself further in it
• You can work independently and seek coordination with colleagues where necessary
• You enjoy working in a practical environment where drafting work is directly translated into production
