Job description

At grievy, we help grieving people worldwide with a trustworthy, low-barrier, and immediate digital solution for their grieving process. Using validated methods based on the latest psychological findings and current science, grieving individuals learn healthy strategies for coping with their grief in our app and web solution. We want to ensure that no one feels alone in their grief anymore!

grievy stands for de-stigmatizing grief in our society and providing support during the most difficult times of life. We have already accompanied many thousands of grieving people – but we want to reach even more!

Tasks

Due to our strong growth, we are looking for a committed working student or part-time employee (m/f/d) to support our marketing team starting immediately. Your tasks will include:

  • You will be partly responsible for the content creation of our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube).

  • You will shoot and edit videos for our channels and create empathetic and engaging posts.

  • You will write affectionate, high-performing captions and content formats.

  • You will support our CEO in personal branding activities about grievy on LinkedIn and Instagram.

  • You will maintain relationships with our community and empathetically support them in comments, WhatsApp, emails, and DMs.

  • You will monitor and analyze marketing activities and derive optimization possibilities.

  • You will maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and other media representatives and identify PR opportunities in relevant media channels.

Qualifications

  • You already have experience in digital marketing, content creation, and implementation of marketing strategies.

  • You are not camera-shy and have an eye for aesthetics.

  • You love Instagram, TikTok, and co. and enjoy discovering new trends.

  • You are ready to take on a high degree of personal responsibility from day one, work with above-average conscientiousness, and have very good German language skills (spelling and grammar).

  • Ideally, you have personally experienced how loss changes life. This perspective is incredibly valuable to us because it helps you truly understand the questions and concerns of grieving people.

  • Death and grief are part of our daily work. You approach them openly and without inhibition and possess the inner stability to deal with them every day.

  • For a working student position: You are currently pursuing a degree or apprenticeship in design, communication science, humanities, economics, media and communication, psychology, or similar.

  • You have experience with design tools (Canva, Instagram Edits) and can quickly learn new software.

Benefits

You will take on a high degree of personal responsibility from day one and be part of a young, ambitious, and dynamic team with whom you will actively shape our success story.

In addition, you can expect:

  • Steep learning curve through intensive onboarding and regular feedback sessions for your personal development

  • Flexible working time models with home office options

  • Modern office space to feel comfortable in the lively Cologne district of Sülz

  • Joint team events (e.g., surfing on the Rhine, cooking evenings), lunch breaks, and coffee chats

  • Your work has a direct impact on our success, and you see results directly

  • Free membership with Urban Sports Club

  • Free coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks

Does this sound like you? Then send us your CV and tell us why you are the right person for grievy. Please no generic cover letters – we want to get to know you as a person. Feel free to tell us what personally connects you to the topic of grief.

Also, show us what you can do: Feel free to send us work samples or a portfolio of your previous marketing activities, such as campaigns, social media posts, texts, or designs you have worked on.

We look forward to your application!
