Responsibilities:

• Sub-project management of Hardware (Electronics): technical leadership of a small team, planning and control of work packages, as well as responsibility for results, deadlines, and progress.
• Develop platform, module, and device concepts with the technical project manager and architects, and build deep overall system knowledge (ideally including basic RF measurements such as power and spectrum).
• Be responsible for and document the multi-board and platform architecture, including the interfaces between hardware and software (board-to-board, control, power supply).
• Coordinate collaboration between hardware, firmware, and software teams with other architects and prepare sound architectural decisions.
• Be responsible for device integration and verification; coordinate integration, production, and verification milestones between hardware and software, and with sub-project management production.
• Create or continue product descriptions, test procedures, and datasheets; control and be responsible for device-related approvals (Quality Gates).
• Assess the feasibility, effort, and risk of concepts and report them transparently to the technical project manager; for impacts on deadlines, budget, or escalations, also report to the overall project management.

Qualifications:

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification, with several years of relevant practical experience.
• Proven experience in multi-board and platform hardware architecture (concept, partitioning, interfaces).
• Solid knowledge of power management.
• Understanding of FPGAs and ARMs; sufficient to technically control firmware packages and interfaces.
• Proficient in interface definition and documentation (ICD) as well as typical board-to-board and control interfaces.
• Experience in device integration and verification, as well as in dealing with Quality Gates and device-level release processes.
• Willingness to take on platform architecture and device responsibility in one role and to familiarize yourself with a complex overall system, including RF fundamentals.
• Analytical, conceptual way of working (assess and document feasibility, effort, and risk).
• Fluent German, good English (spoken and written).
• Experience with military supply requirements (e.g., MIL-STD-1275E) - Advantageous.
• Experience in leading hardware development topics and coordinating external firmware teams - Advantageous.
• Experience in Defense, Aerospace, or similarly regulated hardware projects - Advantageous.
