Subproject Manager Hardware Digital (Platform) and Device (m/f/d)

Your Mission

We are looking for you as a Subproject Manager Hardware Digital (Platform) and Device (m/f/d) at our Berlin location (hybrid).

Your tasks will include:

• You will provide technical leadership to a small team and manage work packages, results, deadlines, and progress.

• You will develop and evaluate architectural concepts (e.g., FPGA, SoC, ADC/DAC, JESD204B) and consolidate them into a viable system design.

• Together with the Technical Project Manager and the architects, you will develop the overall concept and build in-depth system knowledge, ideally including basic RF measurements.

• You will be responsible for the multi-board architecture and the interfaces between hardware and software, as well as the connection of the RF frontend to the digital part.

• You will coordinate the collaboration between hardware, firmware, and software and prepare well-founded architectural decisions.

• You will be responsible for device integration and verification and will coordinate milestones with the involved teams and the Subproject Management Production.

• You will create and maintain product descriptions, test procedures, and data sheets, and manage device-related Quality Gates.

• You will assess effort, feasibility, and risks, and inform the Technical Project Manager, and in case of deviations in deadlines, budget, or escalations, the overall project management.

Your Profile

You should definitely bring the following knowledge and skills:

• You have a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification, as well as several years of professional experience.

• You have experience in multi-board and platform architectures, as well as knowledge of high-speed analog/digital frontends up to approx. 50 Gbit/s.

• You understand the architecture of FPGAs, SoCs, ADCs/DACs, and interfaces such as JESD204B and can evaluate system designs.

• FPGA, ARM, and power management knowledge enable you to technically manage firmware and interfaces.

• You are familiar with interface documentation (ICD), device integration, verification, and Quality Gates.

• You enjoy taking responsibility, developing digital architectures even with open requirements, and analytically assessing feasibility, effort, and risks.

• Excellent spoken and written German is required for effective communication in the project environment and with our German-speaking customers.
