Security Systems Service & Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Security Systems Service & Maintenance Technician to join our team in Bucharest – Ilfov, Brasov, and Buzau. A person with solid knowledge in the field, eager to participate in large-scale projects, alongside our colleagues from Maintenance and Technical Support. Their main objectives will be preventive and corrective maintenance, service interventions, retrofitting, and modernization of security and safety systems at client sites.

ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Performs planned preventive maintenance at client sites, according to contracts and maintenance schedules, for Security and Safety Systems (Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Fire Detection and Signaling, Perimeter Security, Access Control, Time & Attendance, Intercom, Integrated Systems): checks, cleaning, functionality tests, checking power sources and batteries.
• Intervenes promptly to repair defects, within contractually assumed response times (SLA), and restores systems to operation.
• Diagnoses defects, analyzes their causes, and replaces faulty components.

Retrofit, Modernization & Extensions

• Carries out retrofit and modernization works: replacement of physically or morally obsolete equipment, migration of analog systems to IP solutions, firmware and software updates.
• Performs extensions and modifications to systems under maintenance (cabling, connection, configuration, integration).
• Configures application software (VMS, access control, time & attendance, fire alarm panels) and applies cybersecurity best practices (password management, firmware updates, network segmentation).

Reporting & Collaboration

• Records interventions in the mobile service application and prepares maintenance reports and intervention sheets.
• Proposes a list of spare parts, equipment, and consumables and signals modernization opportunities to the sales team.
• Collaborates with the Service Dispatch for the resolution and closure of requests.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a security systems technician, in service and maintenance activities.
• Security Systems Technician accreditation (ARTS or equivalent), according to current legislation.
• Technical studies in the field or previous qualification courses.
• Knowledge of security and safety equipment.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, IP networking, and VMS configuration.
• English language – intermediate level (technical documentation).
• Category B driver's license, active driver.
• Medical certificate of fitness for work at height and availability for planned work, with daily routes.
• Clean criminal record.
• Sense of responsibility and constant interest in new technologies in the field.
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive person, capable of working with minimal supervision.

We Appreciate:

• Certifications obtained from manufacturers such as Bosch, Honeywell, Esser, Siemens, Schrack, Paradox, DSC, Axis, Milestone, Genetec – constitute a major advantage in salary negotiation.
• IGSU accreditation for fire detection and signaling systems.
• Experience in retrofitting and migrating analog systems to IP solutions.
