Fire Extinguishing Systems Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Fire Extinguishing Systems Service & Maintenance Technician to join our teams in Bucharest – Ilfov and Brasov. A person with solid knowledge in the field, eager to participate in large-scale projects, together with our colleagues from Maintenance and Technical Support. Their main objectives will be preventive and corrective maintenance, service interventions, modernization, and expansion of fire extinguishing systems at the beneficiaries' locations.

Responsibilities

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Performs planned preventive maintenance at beneficiaries' locations, according to contracts, maintenance schedules, and manufacturer instructions, for the following systems: hot/cold water supply; fire extinguishing (with inert gases, foam, water, water mist, aerosols, oxyreduct); fire detection; ventilation.
• Checks the condition and operation of the systems' equipment and components: pumping units, tanks, pipes, fittings, hydrants, sprinklers, and specific fire extinguishing system equipment.
• Intervenes promptly to remedy defects, within the contractual response times (SLA), and restores systems to operation.
• Diagnoses defects, analyzes their causes, and replaces faulty components.

Installation, Modernization & Expansion

• Performs replacement of defective or worn-out components, repairs, and modernizations of the systems under maintenance.
• Participates in the installation, modification, and expansion of fire extinguishing systems, according to technical documentation.
• Carries out adjustments and tests and participates in the commissioning of the systems, within the limits of the competencies and qualifications held.
• Verifies, together with specialized colleagues, the interfaces of the fire extinguishing systems with the fire detection and alarm systems and with the building's other installations.

Reporting & Collaboration

• Records interventions in the mobile service application and prepares maintenance reports and intervention sheets.
• Proposes the list of spare parts, equipment, and consumables and reports modernization opportunities to the sales team.
• Collaborates with the Service Dispatch for the resolution and closure of requests.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a technician for sanitary/fire limitation and extinguishing systems, in service and maintenance activities.
• Fire extinguishing systems technician certification (AUSTING or equivalent), according to current legislation.
• Technical studies of the profile or previous qualification courses.
• Knowledge of fire limitation and extinguishing equipment.
• English language – intermediate level (technical documentation).
• Category B driver's license, active driver.
• Medical certificate of fitness for working at height and availability for planned work, with daily routes.
• Clean criminal record.
• Sense of responsibility and constant interest in new technologies in the field.
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive person, capable of working with minimal supervision.
