IT Metering Technician / Natural Gas

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the continuous operation of the IT&C infrastructure, protecting data security, providing technical support, and adhering to internal procedures, safety regulations, and GDPR standards, actively contributing to process optimization and collaborating with the team to achieve operational objectives;
• Performance monitoring, data collection, and analysis; data security management and providing technical support to end-users;
• Administration of the videowall and associated applications used within the Dispatch Centers;
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Works closely with various technical and project teams to coordinate and implement integrated IT&C solutions, thereby supporting the business objectives of the DISTRIBUTION / METERING department;
• Registering and monitoring meters in the AMR application to ensure correct operation and accurate data collection;
• Monitoring, verifying, and performing periodic backups of the AMR system and the dispatch centers' IT infrastructure;
• Diagnosis and resolution of technical incidents to ensure the continuity of metering systems' operation;
• Collaboration with IT and maintenance teams for the implementation and optimization of technical solutions;

Job Requirements:

• Specialized studies related to electricity and information technology;
• Relevant certifications in fields such as IT system administration, information security, communication networks, or gas technology can be an advantage: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or any other relevant certification in the field;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the AMR field;
• Solid knowledge in IT&C fields, including operating systems (Linux, Windows), communication networks, databases, and information security are essential. Also, knowledge of smart metering technologies and associated infrastructure is beneficial;
• Advanced knowledge in providing technical support for Windows operating systems;
• Knowledge of Active Directory (Group Policy, DNS, startup-scripts, Groups Management);
• Intermediate-advanced knowledge of networks and standard diagnostic applications (ping, telnet, proxy etc.) and structured cabling (ability to connect equipment to the network directly or through switches).
