Job description
For a client company, a leader in the heavy vehicle maintenance and repair sector, specializing in the management of Global Service for public transport bus fleets, which has been designing and delivering integrated preventive and corrective maintenance services for years, we are looking for a:
INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
The resource will manage:
- Diagnosis, fault finding, and repair of electrical and electronic systems on industrial vehicles and buses;
- Interventions on electronic control units (ECU, TCU, BCM) using dedicated diagnostic tools;
- Reading and interpretation of electrical diagrams and technical documentation;
- Installation, maintenance, and testing of 12V and 24V electrical systems;
- Updating and reprogramming of control units using OEM software and aftermarket tools;
- Diagnosis and maintenance of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), cameras, video surveillance systems, and tachographs;
- Interventions on vehicle air conditioning systems;
- Use of measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic scanners;
- Collaboration with the workshop team for the resolution of complex technical problems;
- Occasional, brief external interventions at customer sites.
Requirements
- Experience as an auto electrician, electrical technician, or electromechanic, preferably gained in the industrial vehicle, bus, or earthmoving machinery sector;
- Alternatively, candidates from the automotive sector with solid electronic diagnostic experience will also be considered;
- Excellent knowledge of 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems;
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and circuits;
- Experience in electronic diagnosis using dedicated tools (Texa, Autel, Launch, or equivalents);
- Knowledge of electronic control units (ECU, TCU, BCM) and update/programming procedures;
- Familiarity with main vehicle communication systems (CAN Bus, LIN, and preferably FlexRay);
- Knowledge of ADAS systems, infotainment, and onboard electronic devices;
- Experience in air conditioning system maintenance is a significant added value;
- Possession of the F-Gas certification for refrigerant management is preferred;
- Knowledge of exhaust gas analyzers and smoke meters is desirable;
- Good proficiency in consulting technical manuals and OEM portals (TecDoc, ALLDATA, or equivalents);
- Basic knowledge of hybrid (HEV/PHEV) and electric (BEV) propulsion systems, high-voltage battery packs, and possession of the PES/PAV qualification according to CEI 11-27 are considered preferential.
WORK LOCATION: NETTUNO(RM)
Working Hours
Monday to Friday:
- 08:30 – 12:30
- 13:30 – 18:00
Availability for on-call shifts and, when necessary, interventions on Saturday mornings is required.
Compensation
- Annual Gross Salary (RAL): €34,000 - permanent contract METALMECCANICO PICCOLA E MEDIA INDUSTRIA CONFAPI
- Benefits: Annual shopping vouchers as per CCNL (currently €200 on electronic card) - Supplementary health assistance;
- The compensation is determined based on objective criteria: experience, skills, and role responsibilities.
