Site Technician - Industrial Sector

For a company active in the metalworking sector, specializing in the creation of refractory linings, engineering activities, prefabrication of refractories, and industrial installations, we are selecting a site technical figure who will work partly in the office and partly directly on construction sites in industrial realities mostly located in Northern Italy, but also abroad.

The figure, based in Bergamo, will support the refractory lining site manager operationally and organizationally, following both technical office and site activities. The role requires a surveyor qualification, digital skills, the ability to read technical drawings, availability for travel, and good working time flexibility, within a structured industrial context.

Responsibilities

• Support the refractory lining site manager in the planning, operational coordination, and technical documentation management of assigned works.
• Prepare complete and updated quantity take-offs and cost estimates, ensuring consistency between drawings, technical specifications, and planned quantities for each intervention.
• Prepare technical drawings with Autocad 2D, translating design indications into clear and accurate elaborations, usable both in the workshop and directly on construction sites.
• Coordinate and schedule refractory prefabrication activities, ensuring the correct flow between the technical office, internal production, and site personnel.
• Supervise construction sites with a foreman role, coordinating company employees and subcontractors in compliance with established operating procedures.
• Verify work progress against planned times, quantities, and quality, reporting any critical issues and proposing corrective actions agreed upon with the manager.
• Control the condition of site equipment, plan necessary maintenance, and collaborate with internal functions to ensure the availability of machinery.
• Ensure availability for travel to construction sites located in Italy and abroad, organizing one's own activity according to operational needs and execution times.
• Ensure flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and standard vacation periods such as August and December, based on site requirements.

Skills and Professionalism

• Solid digital skills with advanced use of Excel, for managing quantity take-offs, work progress reports, and site activity planning.
• Good command of Autocad 2D for the preparation, modification, and reading of technical drawings related to refractory linings and prefabrication.
• Excellent ability to read technical drawings, with attention to details, dimensions, materials, and specifications useful for the correct execution of works on site.
• Good organizational and planning skills, applied to the management of site inspections, prefabrication activities, equipment checks, and work verifications.
• Availability for travel to construction sites in Italy and abroad, with adaptability to different operational contexts and compliance with company-defined procedures.
• Working time flexibility, with availability to work during weekends, holidays, and vacation periods like August and December, according to production needs.
• Knowledge of the English language considered a plus, useful for interacting with foreign construction sites and international technical documentation when required.

Offer:
