Job description:

  • Responsible for preventing accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental risks, ensuring that company activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The professional acts proactively and educatively, guiding colleagues and leaders to create a safe, healthy, legally compliant, and productive work environment;
  • Prepare statistics on workplace accidents, forwarding them to regulatory bodies and sustainability control. Define and supervise the use of individual protective equipment (EPI) and collective protective equipment (EPC) by employees. Analyze demands from regulatory bodies and other publics for data submission in standard format;
  • Fiscalize and prepare reports on irregularities found during field inspections, based on site visits and photographic records, forwarding them to the immediate supervisor and subsequently to the area manager;
  • Insert and maintain updated information in the specific system operational database, including cadastres, CAT, PPRA (PPP), fire extinguisher control, EPIs/EPCs, firefighting brigades, CIPA, forms, and reports, following established standards by regulatory bodies;
  • Control the maintenance of firefighting devices (extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, etc.) available at the company, following specific norms;
  • Prepare annually the PPRA - Program for Environmental Risk Prevention, as well as perform measurements with specific equipment, informing employees about the risks they are exposed to, presenting solutions to mitigate/remove them, following established standards in specific norms;
  • Comply strictly with internal quality, safety, health, environment, and compliance (QSSMA) standards, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and regulations applicable to the company;
  • Support areas in investigating accidents, as well as accompany scheduled judicial perjuries, upon request from the Legal Area, following judicial guidance and legal requirements;
  • Monitor third-party companies contracted for field work (maintenance/conservation, vigilance, canteen, etc.) that are being executed by outsourced companies, checking the use of individual protective equipment (EPI), collective protective equipment (EPC), and the implementation of collective safety devices, as well as evaluating the impact of the work on the environment.
