Maintenance Technician

At Ichor Systems we are looking for a CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team and contribute to the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our machining operations. Your main responsibility will be to ensure maximum equipment availability through preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, supporting the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Job Objective

Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities on CNC machinery, auxiliary equipment, and plant infrastructure systems, ensuring maximum operational availability of equipment, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Provide specialized technical support to diagnose, repair, and optimize CNC equipment, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and auxiliary systems used in manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities

• CNC Equipment Maintenance
• Diagnose, identify, and correct mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control failures in CNC machines.
• Interpret alarms and error codes to perform accurate diagnoses and effective repairs.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Perform functional tests after repairs to ensure correct equipment operation.
• Maintain records of maintenance, failures, spare parts used, and activities performed.
• Control and Automation Systems
• Diagnose and repair Fanuc and Celos CNC control systems.
• Perform maintenance and adjustments on servomotors and servo drives.
• Diagnose and replace electrical and electronic components such as:
• Pressure gauges
• Controllers
• Perform voltage, amperage, and electrical condition checks using specialized measuring instruments.

Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems

• Repair and maintain high-pressure hydraulic systems.
• Maintain Mist Collector systems.
• Diagnose and repair auxiliary oil-based pumping systems.
• Perform precision mechanical repairs.
• Execute mechanical adjustments on spindles and Bar Feeder systems.
• Perform alignments and precision adjustments on spindles and mechanical components.
• Auxiliary Equipment and Infrastructure.
• Maintain industrial compressors, dryers, and compressed air systems.
• Perform basic inspections and repairs of the building's electrical installations.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance on dry-type transformers.
• Perform inspections on I-Line type electrical panels.

Safety and Continuous Improvement

• Comply with industrial safety procedures and applicable regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to increase equipment reliability and availability.
• Propose improvements to reduce downtime, maintenance costs, and recurring failures.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to eliminate chronic equipment problems.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in work areas under 5S principles.

Job Requirements

• Technical Degree in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or a related field.
• Incomplete or completed Engineering degree will be considered an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC machinery maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing CNC equipment.
• Experience in industrial hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
