Sampling Technician - Atmospheric Emissions

Perform sampling activities at Eurofins, using suitable equipment and conducting measurements and records necessary at the sampling location, respecting safety, health, and environmental standards established by the company and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect samples through suitable equipment;
• FOLLOW THE SAMPLING PLAN DEFINED BY THE AREA COORDINATOR;
• Develop good communication/relationship with the client and/or project foreman;
• Measure and record the temperature of samples that require specific storage conditions, when applicable;
• Conduct necessary measurements at the sampling location (e.g. temperature, pH among other required parameters);
• Monitor environmental conditions relevant to the type of service, when necessary;
• Deliver collected samples to laboratories;
• Maintain equipment and utensils used in sampling (or request maintenance);
• Acknowledge safety, health, and environmental standards established by the company and/or clients;
• Maintain a presentable appearance, respecting company norms. This care should extend to cars and equipment;
• Handle chemical solutions for sample preservation, when necessary;
• FILL OUT ELECTRONIC FORM WITH SAMPLE INFORMATION, WHEN NECESSARY;
• Acknowledge safety, health, and environmental standards established by the company and/or clients;
• Orient assistant teams to follow procedures, sampling plan, and safety norms;
• Drive company vehicles to client locations where sampling will be performed;
• Review and create new documents in the Quality Management System;
• Control the fleet of company vehicles;
• Identify the need for technical training for area collaborators and submit a request to the immediate superior.

• Respect QSMS requirements (ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001);
• Commitment to continuous improvement, development of the quality management system, health, environment, and safety in the organization and aspects/impacts and risks of their activities.
