Job Description Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team The School of Chemical Sciences Instrument Technologist team is comprised of 6 specialist roles which support researchers across the University. We are part of the larger Professional Staff Technical Services Group. Our team plays a pivotal role in enabling teaching, learning, and research through the strategic use of analytical instrumentation. We collaborate closely with academic staff and their research groups to design, implement, and support the development of new instruments and techniques. This includes working closely with researchers to understand their needs and requirements, designing and implementing solutions that meet those needs, and providing training and support to ensure successful operation and maintenance of the instruments. Our team also plays a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as those related to safety and environmental sustainability. We are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our stakeholders and contribute to the University's research excellence.
