Develops cloud strategies for tomorrow's companies.

Your Mission

You work with large corporations to develop their technology landscape in five years, and build the first concrete steps towards it. Sometimes this is an architecture blueprint for a cloud transformation with executive visibility, sometimes a prototype for an agent-based AI platform, or the modernization of a legacy system that has been carrying the core business for twenty years. What these projects have in common: you are close enough to technology, close to decision-makers, and early enough to shape the direction.

Tasks

What's expected of you

Idealistically, you have your home in one or two of the following areas and develop yourself further into the others.

Cloud-Native Architecture & Engineering

Microservice landscapes, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven designs for complex business logic. You decouple legacy systems strategically and integrate them into modern topologies. Typical stacks: Java/Spring Boot, Go, Node.js, plus frontends in React or Angular.

Platform Engineering & DevOps

Internal developer platforms based on CNCF: Kubernetes, Crossplane, ArgoCD, Helm. You build Golden Paths, IaC- and GitOps workflows that development teams really want to use. Cloud-side in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Agentic AI Architecture

Architecture of agent-based systems in the corporate context: multi-agent topologies, MCP- and A2A-based integrations, orchestration patterns between LLMs, deterministic logic, and legacy systems. You have a clear view on which system classes are production-ready today and which are not.

Modern, AI-led Engineering

How modern engineering teams deliver. GenAI in the SDLC itself: coding assistants, agent-based engineering workflows, KI-gestützte reviews and tests. Plus developer experience and engineering practices that make such workflows scalable. You have a solid opinion on where AI is delivering in software development today and where it's not.

Tech-Led Strategy & Modernization

This is about technology as a strategic lever, not classical enterprise architecture methodology. You translate what's technically possible today into roadmaps that change the business model. Architecture assessments and modernization programs are the tool with which you steer.

What a typical project looks like

• Architecture workshops with lead architects and IT leadership of the customer
• Concrete solution designs for a business area or functional capability
• Hands-on prototypes to test architecture decisions instead of just asserting them
• Handover to delivery teams or accompaniment of implementation if the project requires it
• Stakeholder work on C-level, documented at a level that precedes the CIO

Qualification

We're looking forward to

• You follow tech trends because you're interested in the field.
• You have completed your education or studies in the field of computer science, mathematics, or physics.
• You bring real depth in at least one of the above-mentioned areas, on projects where you yourself built or co-responsible for architecture decisions.
• You work well in agile projects and international/cross-functional teams.
• You have high communication strength when dealing with customers and project stakeholders.
• In German and English, you express yourself clearly and confidently.
