Technical Manager Renewable Energies - Focus Battery Storage (m/w/d)

Nexentury GmbH specializes in developing, building, financing, integrating, and operating solar power plants and battery storage systems in Germany and Europe.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and qualified Technical Manager (m/w/d) at our location in Starnberg or Eschbach near Freiburg with experience in renewable energy projects and a special focus on battery storage systems (BESS).
Aufgaben
As Technical Manager Renewable Energies (Focus BESS), you will be responsible for the overall technical management of our storage and PV/hybrid projects – from early concept phase to planning, construction, and successful commissioning.
You connect technical development, project management, and quality responsibility and ensure that our projects are both technically and economically optimal.
Your responsibilities in detail:
- Overall technical responsibility for battery storage and renewable energy projects (especially PV free fields, floating PV, moor PV)
- Steering the entire project lifecycle: from technical conception to planning, engineering, implementation, and commissioning
- Evaluation and selection of sites under technical and economic aspects
- Development, testing, and optimization of technical designs (layout, design, system architecture, interfaces) for BESS and PV/hybrid projects
- Coordination with external planners, experts, and EPC partners as well as alignment with internal departments (development, financing, operation)
- Technical support during approval procedures (including environmental and expert opinions)
- Creation and alignment of grid connection concepts with network operators and accompanying grid planning
- Support in economic project evaluation (CAPEX/OPEX estimation, technical risks, optimization potential)
- Technical accompaniment of tenders and contract negotiations with suppliers and service providers
- Bau- and implementation support including quality and timing control, acceptance tests, and performance checks
- Participation in the further development of BESS and project strategy from a technical perspective at Nexentury
Qualifikation
- Degree in energy technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in technical project planning and implementation of battery storage systems and ideally also PV or other renewable energy projects
- Fundamental knowledge of relevant standards, laws, approval procedures, and regulations (e.g. EEG, grid connection guidelines, environmental and nature conservation requirements)
- Experience in cooperation with network operators, authorities, experts, and other external stakeholders
- Structured, self-responsible working style and routine in technical project management
- Teamwork ability as well as the ability to steer complex coordination processes with internal and external stakeholders goal-oriented
- Very good German language skills in writing and speaking, good English language skills an asset
